La Villa Clauida fù, nell'anno 1827, un dono di nozze alla principessa Luisa Dal Pozzo della Cisterna da parte dello sposo, Ferdinando Arborio, Duca di Sartirana, Marchese di Breme, che la scelse come sua residenza lacustre. Da allora è sempre rimasta in famiglia ed oggi, appartiene ai Marchesi Dal Pozzo d'Annone che ne conservano tutt'ora quell'autentico sapore.
